Mosquitos and Thermacells...

I am assuming I'm not alone with this, but for the last couple weeks when I've been out checking cameras and clearing stands I have been absolutely ATTACKED by the state bloodsucking bird. In my favorite and best spot, its a low-lying meadow with a pond or two and the mosquitos are literally unbelievable. You can hear them buzz in the early AM and late PM. I have bought a Thermacell in anticipation and hopefull prevention from these bloodsuckers. Just curious if anyone has used one before and if it worked? Or if anyone has any crazy home seceret remedy that will magically repel them...

yes I have one or two and would not be caught out on opener without one they work very well.

its really amazing how well they work!! I use mine all the time...whether in my boat at sundown fishing, sitting at a campfire at night.....or in bow stand!! It gives off no scent so no worries about it scaring deer away with odor either!!

I agree they are the bomb. I did a hunt in Manitoba two weeks ago and the bugs were incredible. But with my Thermacell, I hunted in peace.

I actually found some replacement packs in a Winnipeg archery shop with "cover scent" on the label. I've never seen these in the USA and I'll be using one most likely on opening morning.

There is a scent to the Thermacell but I'd rather deal with pkaying the wind vs not playing at all. Works great.

Yes I bought a thermacell a month ago and love it! Went to check cameras today and check on the camper was getting attacked and as soon as i turned it on they were gone its simply amazing!
