My buddy had a bench in his shack before I bought mine. I went looking for the swivel seats or something similar because the bench was killing my back. My seats mount on the edge of the sled and on a Square bar that runs the length of the sled in the middle. Seems that making the kind I have work elswhere would be tricky but not impossible. I have a a Yukon FT, it is about three years old.

Even adding a sling style stadium seat back, a flexible one, would greatly alleviate back stress. That would also keep the weight down.

I'm fairly certain the bolt pattern on the frame is good to mount most any standard use boat seat if one wished. Or, a couple new holes would solve the fit problem.

Ever notice on the Kenai, all that mysterious side molding insert work that has no apparent function, as of yet? smirk

Well, I'm fairly certain Clam has a new seating system or a new modular deck system in mind for it, and maybe other add on's, that would eliminate the bench if one wished.

All that extra expensive molding work on the sled was done for a very good reason, you can count on that. wink

I can confirm a boat seat and/or swivle will bolt right into the holes already on the frame. The only thing I don't care for is that it's now about 2 inches too high for my personal taste.

I wondered the same things as Ed mentioned in regards to those inserts on the sled.
