Bear Apples

just picked up some early apples from my folks farmstead for my Bear Baits...

would u guys put the apples in your Cribs plain? or should i sweeten the deal and pour a few pounds of granulated sugar over them beforehand???

If ya cut them up an add sugar the'll turn brown quick an might not be as appealing, ha no pun intended. But I know some who cut them up an add oats, mollassas, sugar an milk an make a sweet feed. I think whole would be good, bear love to demolish a crab apple tree, I ve seen huge branches from a crabapple tree along side the road left by a bear that torn one up an tried to take it home to the missus. I've used them one time an did'nt have much luck with them. But tehy do like them. Boar
