we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Joe Posted August 10, 2010 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted August 10, 2010 The oxygen levels in Pleasant Creek are quite low below depths of 15 feet. It is likely that fish won’t be found below these depths.

There is an invasive plant called Brittle Naiad that is very abundant around most of the lake. Yellow Perch - Fair: Fish on or near the bottom with worms. we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Joe Posted December 11, 2010 Author we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted December 11, 2010 Some of the coves have 4 inches of ice. However, the main lake just froze over on 12/7, making ice conditions extremely variable.

JIvers
Pleasant Creek Lake by Palo has been drained down to begin a restoration project. Due to problems with a valve on the dam, the project has been delayed a year: http://www.iowadnr.gov/About-DNR/DNR-News-Releases/ArticleID/257/Pleasant-Creek-Lake-Restoration-Project-Delayed The IDNR says the lake will be allowed to refill this winter, but I anticipate the lake remaining below normal levels until spring. If we get some decent ice out there while the lake is low it should make for some concentrated fish populations.
