jay83196
I have quit a variety of bait from candy, donuts, penuts, meat oats and dog food. My question is should I use it all or just the best stuff and if so do I use it all every time or mix it up? What's worked best for some of you guys, thanks. lichen fox
We usually try to keep, our baits that are hitting good, consistant. What we do is put the doughnuts-jelly rolls-candies in first and then top it with about two gallons of our mixture of grains-honey&grease...with the mixture covering the entire "bakery"....we've found it keeps the bakery products fresher...even with moderate rains....and the grain mixture on top keeps the chipmunks squirels and other small bait stealers satisfied and not running off with whole doughnuts and leaving nothing for the bear when he show's up...About the only time we'll change things up is if we have a bear that's real inconsistant...(skipping days, hitting after dark, etc....) Then we'll sometimes try various things to try and change the bears behavior to our advantage...sometimes it works, sometimes it changes nothing, and sometimes the bear leaves for good!
