Re-carpeting trailer bunks

I need to re-carpet my trailer bunks and I have a few questions.

1) My bunks are 2x6 so the 12" wide carpeting that every store carries will not work. Is there a good place local that I can buy 14"?

2)Do I need to use marine grade 2x6's or is treated good enough?

Thanks for your help

I re-did my bunks this spring. I bought a marine piece of carpet from the big "C" store in the bargain cave. I believe the size was approx. 10' x 12' roll. I used the old carpet as a pattern and had to modify the corners a little because the old carpet was the cheaper indoor/outdoor carpet that had seen it's better days. My 2x4 was treated and it was in good shape yet so I did not replace the wood. I would not hesitate using treated lumber instead of marine grade.

I bought my carpet from Fleet Farm - they will cut it to any width you want and I believe it was 10-12' long. Just needed to do my guide-on bunks this spring but have seen that the other bunks need the carpet replaced too. Was going to do it when on vacation and the boat spends the week in the water but we aren't going on vacation this year so have to figure out another plan.

Hard to find anything other than plywood that is marine grade....go with treated.
