Shrimp Scampi Recipies

Recommended Posts

Here is a pretty easy one...

1 pound med or large shrimp, shelled and deveined

2-3 tablespoons butter

1 tablepoon minced garlic

1/4 cup white wine(some like dry, I like a sweeter one)

1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

a tablespoon or two of chopped parsely

salt and pepper

Get a pan going on med heat. Lay the shrimp out and salt n pepper em. Add the butter then turn up the heat a bit. Plop the shrimp in the pan for one minute, now add the garlic. Cook one more minute and flip the shrimp. Now add the wine and lemon juice and cook for two more minutes. Toss in the parsely and maybe some more salt and pepper or maybe a little crushed red pepper...

Two words of advice - dont overcook the shrimp. Cut one at the thick point after the 4-5 minutes. If they are real big they might need one more minute.

Also, garlic and butter will burn easily...

If you need more liquid, add some more butter and wine. You could also pull out the shrimp when they are done and turn down the heat a bit, then reduce it a little cool
