I live in wi so I can use sun fish or gills. I was wondering what would you prefer suckers, gills, bullheads,or what ever for flats? What is the best way to rig them and does your bait of choice change during the season? thanks in advance

Sure wish I could stick a sunnie on a hook!

I'd rig it with a hook in the lower part of the back (end of the dorsal)on a 12-18" leader and anchor it with a good sized sinker.

Big old muddy won't be able to resist that vibrating morsel for long!

should you rig them on the bottom with a no roll? how should i hook them through the back?

Id have to agree with Dsteel on the dorsal hooking... but I've heard that a hook right through the top of the eye sockets works pretty good. (don't puncture the eyes and keep it close to the bone on the top of the sockets) Check out steve D... Catfish of the day tips on Bridal rigs. To get you started...
