Weird findings in the woods

Only thing I have ever found of interest in the woods was a buck folding knife still in its leather case while deer hunting. It could not have been there long because the leather was still in good shape.

This is not exactly in the woods but in caves that were in the woods - more preceisely the river bluffs along the Missouri River in Kansas. Turns out during WWII these caves were used for storage of all kinds of things. We found an old bus, eyeglasses, bottles and cups, even holes that had been drilled for dynamite in the cave walls. These caves were dry as a bone so everything was remarkably preserved. They went on for miles or seemed like it. Kinda spooky but back then I thought I was invincible like every other college kid.

One of my first times in the BWCA, I found a bear paw on an island. It was mostly bone but still in one piece. I took it home with me, not knowing at the time that taking those things out of there is a no-no. My buddies and I now gift the bear paw, still in a dirt-covered ziplock bag, to each other whenever somebody gets married or moves.
