harvey lee
Well, I made the trip to Brooking South Dakota for the annual National championships for go karts. There were 459 entrants. My wife and I have been going to the races since Clint, our son won his National championship and moved onto the dirt modifieds. It's the highlight of my racing season to go and help Kiefer and his brother and Dad. We met the Kalin's from Nebraska while Clint our son also raced karts many years ago.Kiefer raced 3 days and had a great week.On day 1, Kiefer was very fast but was taken out of the feature on somewhat of a cheap shot. He was fast enough to win.Day 2, Kiefer was very fast and won this class for his 7th national championship in the International Kart Federation National championships.Day 3, Kiefer was again very fast and won his 2nd Duffy for the week and that was #8 for a National championship.Kiefer Kalin is something when it comes to his go kart racing as he has also won about another dozen very big races including World karting Assn championships. When Kiefer was a Jr, he enjoyed a expert racer status for dirt having won 2 national championships. Kiefer was also an expert having won numerous Duffy's on asphalt. Now, Kiefer is also has an expert ranking for adults for dirt track racing.Kiefer can flat out race and is as good as anyone.
