Boar
Once upon a time, deep in the woods of Northern Minnesota live a little old bear named Bucky. Bucky happened to have the very misfortune of stumbling onto a plie of logs the smelled really good. Sorry bog, I could'nt resist, you said stories.. just teasing. cherokee
No good nighttime stories but I remember flipping my 4 wheeler and landing in the middle of a mudhole with donuts floating all around me. My brother in law, not wanting to get his feet wet barely reached out to try and help me. He was crying from laughing and I had to roll the wheeler off me myself. The funniest part he said was just seeing half my head sticking above the mud.Later that day at a bait station as he was dumping some bait and setting the logs I freaked out and started running. You should have seen the look on his face as he followed me. I stopped and started to almost cry. It was just one of those days. Good memories. Random guy
We have a few stories that involve crazy bear but a ton of stories involving crazy hunters. From guys getting snuck up on by bear while changing into scent free clothing to guys just getting a little shook up or excited the list is as long as the fables. HeviShot
Two seasons ago we had a client hit a bear in the afternoon with a arrow. He said he had a great hit so after a couple hours of waiting we went after it. By this time the sun was down and we had a decent blood trail going until it started to down poor. We knew every second we waited more and more blood was washing away so we were moving quicky until I pulled some branches back and heard the worst sound ever. First we heard a moan followed by a gargle sound. It was midnight, pooring rain, and the first thing we saw was a little green light moving from left to right. (It was his Lumenok stuck in the bears shoulder) The woods were so thick that we lost it in seconds, before we new it the bear was behind us. We kicked our spot lights around and the bear was standing up 15ft away and was back walking. The the H&K .45 put an end to the night. Will NEVER track a bear during a night storm again. To this day I am still wondering what the bear was thinking as it was not trying to move away from us. Only thing I can think of is it was just as confused as we were as it was raining so hard you could not hear or see a thing.
