Now where should I look?

I've been fishing a lake close to my hometown a lot this season. The lake has a substantial curlyleaf pondweed infestation. Up until a few weeks ago, I was catching everything on the deep edge of the weedline. Last time I went there(2 weeks ago) the pondweed was dying off and all but gone in some areas.

Structurally, there isn't a lot to work with, but it's still a good fishery with good numbers and the fish are pretty good size as well. Gills, crappies, bass, pike and walleyes, they all just grow big.

Does anyone have any advice on where to look now that 90% of the weeds are gone? I know to look for other weedlines, but there isn't much. Should I just start looking deep? The lake is 18ft deep max and has a second hole that reaches 17ft. Pretty much your typical 400 acre prairie lake.

Any advice is appreciated.

Let it troll, let it troll, let it troll. Troll your but off till you locate active fish, then take note of the even subtle structure, it can be a rock or just a slight conture diffrence, the fish will still be in the lake they'll just be scattered around, remember they all need to eat.

I'm taking my nephew out in the morning. I want to get him into a decent bass or northern if I can. All he's ever fished for is gills, so I'd love to see him fight a fish with some attitude.

I know the bass get big, I boated a personal best earlier this summer. I also know that the pike are there, and based on what I know of the lake, if I can find them they should be decent size.

I'm thinking the troll and troll some more idea is probably going to work best.

There's a good chance you might. I am an LP grad(1994), but my hometown is north of you. The lake is a little further north yet.
