Guest
Grew up in MN fishing the BWCA but have been gone (moved to GA) for 20 years. Want to bring my son up there for some smallmouth action in mid June. Want lots of action, not nessesarily size. Also would be good if the lake had a few good northerns too. Would like boat/cabin/resort facilities. I have a very short window and do not want to complicate things with camping this time, just a ton of fishing. Any suggestions on locations and quality facilities will be greatly appriciated. Thanks

guideman
Hey Bill,Lake Vermilion is second to none when it comes to smallies, big numbers, Big fish. Two guys in a boat, fishing all day can catch a 100 a day and they average over12" with many over 16"." !8 to 20" fish are common and 6 and 7lbfish are possible any time of the year. There are 35 resorts in different priceranges and Fortune Bay Casino has 108 rooms, first class marina and very goodrates. ------------------Terry "Ace" SjobergAce guide service.aceguideservice.com218-753-2612[email protected]
