Bowfishing spots

Gonna be staying on Moose Lake next week and was wondering if anybody knows of any good bowfishing spots in the area. Either wading or out of the boat. My son is a bowfishing nut and we would love to get on some. thanks.

What is the season in Wisconsin for Bowfishing? We stayed for a week at the Moose Lake Lodge a few years back but I don't remember seeing many good spots that would be good for that sort of thing. The year before we stayed at Treeland resorts on the Chippewa Flowage and that was just riddled with huge carp in the shallows by the floating bogs. Both were right over the 4th of July.

Before I did any spearing or bowfishing (I think they're considered the same thing) I'd check with the DNR. According to this link, spearing is prohibited in Sawyer County. (You have to scroll down to see the map.)

Good call, snooze. Looks like the bowfishing season in Sawyer county ended July 1, according to the middle of page 9. Thanks for the heads up. Oh well, guess I'll just have to chase walleyes and smallies with the rod and reel.

The Big Eau Pleine in Marathon county has a $100 bounty on a tagged carp. The lake association wants the carp cleaned out.
