Better than pecking on my house!

I am pretty new to photography but I thought these turned out ok.

Anyone know what the furry friend is? He was all over our camp site pickin up scraps. Then about four more came along with him.

I was thinking ground squirrl too. But did'nt know what type?

Definately agree with Steve about the squirrel species, it's a franklins. Nice images sir.

I hate squirrel with a passion, got to know them quite well.. But have to be honest.. Have never heard of a Franklins Ground Squirrel.. Kewl, something else I can hate..

Long story as to why I hate them, but digs way back into my child hood when I was about 5 when I had one run up my leg..

Within the Upper Midwest, there are the 13-lined, Franklin, and Richardson Ground Squirrel species. All are most often called gophers, but the only gophers in our area are the Plains and the Northern Pocket Gophers, and they are rarely seen above ground.
