Lakemaster vs. Hot Spots Map

Fish to Win

Question

I was doing some homework for my Friday trip to the big pond and as I was looking at my Hot Spot map vs. the info on my lakemaster chip. The flats are not even close to where they are or what they are called on these two units??? Why??? My Lakemaster has 3 mile flats on it and the Hot spot map does not even mention it. I assume the Lakemaster chip is correct and the Hot Spot is not. All the Flat names on the Hot Spot map are SOOOOO differant from the Lakemaster chip. Do all of you follow and use the lake Master coordinates?

I just purchased a 2nd Lakemaster chip; 1 for 104C in back and 1 for X17 in front nuff said!!!

I mainly use LakeMaster on Mille Lacs too ....... but I also use Navionics, and I know 3 or 4 places where there's GOOD structure that Nav shows that LM is missing. I'd go with LM before Nav, but if going with a second card I'd definately go with Nav.

3 or 4 spots maybe, I know of more they have missed, but navionics is missing or very in accurate in so many places I don't even bother with it anymore. I use navionics for some of the smaller lakes as they have more lakes, but for mille lacs it is not even worth comparing the two it is no contest.
