Tire reccomendations

Recommended Posts

sorry airjer should have noted that i grew up in nebraska. and yes there is snow in az, we actually get a bit of snow here in the valley each year up on the northern edge of the city. our ski resorts up north were actually open until about 6 weeks or so ago. my son and i were up near flagstaff 3 weeks ago and there is still snow on the peaks. if you are interested, flagstaff had the most amount of snow during the last winter at one time in the us. hard to believe but we lost a firefighter who was hunting and got caught in the storm that dumped nearly 4 ft of snow and topped a tree onto his tent. he was from tempe. bad deal all around.

Odd enough the first time I ever remember seeing snow was in Payson AZ. I remember everyone stopping off the freeway to build snowmen LOL.

Anyway, all I can say is how much more you get for your money with the better tires. It sounds like a lot more to bite on but its better than having to do it over again before you should.

V-man,

I have put Coopers on my Familys vehicles for the past few years because of the more aggressive tred.

I also pull a fish house and hunting trailer all winter/fall with an SUV and they mow through snow/water on roads.

They are a little more expensive, but Cooper usually has rebates you can send in to make it not as bad.

Either way you will be satisfied.
