Sioux Narrows Fishing Reports.....

Recommended Posts

Someone must be fishing in the area on this board. I'm just trying to get some ideas on depths and what the fish are doing. I'll hit all my usual spots, but sometimes I find getting a depth range helps. Thanks!

Redline,

I just got back from the Sioux Lookout area, so there shouldn't be a huge difference. We caught our walleyes in 2-30 feet of water, depending on the wind variable, but our most consistent depth range was 13 feet. Anything shallower than that was where the pike were. Fishing was really good this year where we were. Good luck!!!

Thanks for the tip. Any time I can get info about staying away from slimers is much appreciated! Who cares where the walleyes are at,, I just want to know where NOT to fish!

If you wouldn't mind, What was your average size of walleye? Like, what was common? Thanks!

We caught a ton (seemingly) of 23" to 25" fish. Lots of slot fish, i.e. 18-21. Had to work for the "small ones", i.e. underneath the slot for take home fish. In 7 days, I think we only caught about 4 walleyes total that were completely, utterly, and unacceptably waaaay too small. Even for shorelunch.

Sorry if this is a late reply, just got back home from a long weekend.
