FLnick87
My family planned a family vacation June 5-12 on Mille Lacs for mainly walleyes. I am looking to get out and chase Ski's whenever I get a chance but have never fished them on the lake.We are staying in Isle and was wondering where the fish are likely to be this time of year and what lures/colors work best. Not lookin for secret spots, just general info would be great. Best of luck
50inchpig
it's gonna be tough for you but there are weeds and fish right there in isle bay. check out a map and try to follow a few of the cabbage edges that run out into the bay aways, they're easy to find.lots of diffent baits might show you fish but finding the one they'll eat will be your challenge. don't count out nightfishing either. good luck
FLnick87
Thanks for the advice! I got a box full of gear, so i guess I will just throw it all. Gotta be off the lake at 10pm so i think that rules out night fishing. I will probably do most of mine bright and early in the morning before the others wake up. FLnick87
If I could raise a few decent fish I would be more than happy. I have never had luck in June anywhere as far as catching. I have a variety of bucktails, showgirls, cowgirls, and other spinners, since that is what I typically use back home...I also have a few grandmas and jerk-baits, and topwaters...will probably start with what I'm used to and throw showgirls
HooknHorns
Caught one on opener last year on a different lake in 3 ft of water. Dont be afraid to try very shallow on inside weed edge.
