I'm preparing to sell my boat, motor and trailer rig. I found the title for the boat but could not find one for the trailer. Do they still issue a title for the trailer when they went to the lifetime license on them? Or did I just misplace it, thanks.

Most trailers do but not all, my dad bought a small boat trailer new in 1980 and because there wasn't a loan on it they did not issue a title (found this out the hard way after looking for it forever and then trying to get a duplicate).

If you go to the DMV they can send you a duplicate, if there never was one they'll know that and can issue you one.
