Couple of rod questions

I am looking at buying a new Berkley spinning rod. I am looking at getting a Shock or Amp Rod. I use mainly monofiliment line and the shock rod is designed for superlines. Would the shock work for mono also?

I like the look and feel of the amp rods and they are only 29 bucks. But I am not sure of the guides used on them. They look like a silver metal color and I cannot find any info on them? anyone know what kind of guides are on these and if they are a good guide???

I could be wrong but i thinkg the rods built for superbraids have a little more give in them to make up for people used to using mono and ripping hooks out of the fishes mouth and missing them. So you may end up with a rod that is a little to soft to give the mono that hook set you need.

I use the shock with mono and LOVE it. It has a very stiff backbone with a soft tip. Extremely sensitive. Best bang for the buck I have ever bought. I would not hesitate to buy another one. I had NO prblems with hook set on opening weekend, on a very light bite. You will be pleased with it.
