How to get rid of ants?

Is there any way of ridding the whole yard of ants? My whole yard is overrun by them!

You could try that contraption in your avatar. I've always just sprayed around the outside of my house to keep them outside. Not sure of anything to use on the entire yard.

There is stuff you can buy at any hardware store. Tera-somethin-side. They have both the stuff you can hook up to your hose, and the granual stuff like fertilizer. I have a bad ant problem and I tried the granual stuff last year and it seemed to make a big difference. The bag says its supposed to work for the whole summer or something, but i found it worked for maybe a few weeks. I just kept applying it to the real bad areas through out the summer and I was happy with the results. Hope this helps.

Get some borax and mix it with some powdered sugar and place it in the area of the ants nest. They take it back and it kills them all. I think you can get the borax at a drug store.

Do a search for Termidor. I had an exterminator out the other day for carpenter ants and that is what they used. From now on I will just buy it online and spary it myself. I think it would work well for any kind of ants. It is kind of expensive stuff though...
