Repair ?

Looking at repairing the skeg and prop due to some minor damage. Anyone have any suggestions for a good place to take my 70 evinrude? I have no idea how much this should cost so I am trying to get an idea from people who have had this done recently.

Where are you located? Jay Soderbloom in Cromwell does awesome work at a great price but he may be too far from you I dont know. Just do a search for Soderbloom.

Prop repair usually runs around $50 to $75.

If the skeg does not have very much broke off and does not affect your steering no real need to repair it other then looks.

On my previous boat I had Formula Propeller in Brooklyn Park do some skeg work. They did a fine job!!!! I have used them for other services also.

Formula has done a good job on props for me. I have no doubt they would do well on a skeg, too. If you visit their HSOforum, they list prices for both prop and skeg repair. They're just south of I94 on CR 81.
