Gear Oil Pump

Just thinking ahead to fall...I want to get one of those pumps for gear oil. Filling my new motor last fall took almost the entire bottle of oil, so it was hard to squeeze those last bits out.

Where do you get those pumps? Dealer? Auto parts store?

picked one up at one of the big outdoor chain stores. kit came with the HiVisc oil and pump for like 15 bucks. worked great, swapped out lower unit on two smaller motors in a few minutes with ease

Most auto parts store have just the pump for like 8or9 bucks and they just screw on top of the bottles. Much less pain than tryin to squeeze it in.

WalMart has it too in the marine section or in the automotive oil section.

Here is an oil pump that you can really appreciate. Yes, it costs a little more but if you change enough lower unit lube it's worth its weight in gold. I bought one this spring and am thrilled to death with the thing. Changing the lower unit lube is no longer a mess, I changed three lower units this spring and for once, didn't spill a drop!.

It retails for around $50-55 but worth every penny.
