Butt/Casting Seat question

I have a 98 Alumacraft and am looking to put a butt seat in the bow. Is there any special piece i need or is it just a standard end that fits into existing seat mounts?

Also, any brand model that people like better than others?

Just picked one up at Fleet Farm. Ped fitts right in to my existing seat mounts on the floor. The hole set up cost $80 and the seat matches the rest of the seats.

ya if you go off name brand or after market, it will be way less money

I bought two from Fleet Farm last summer and they are as good as any that I have ever owned and paid a lot more money for.

I've got one from Fleet and I'm not sure I'm all that happy with it. If I had to do it again I would buy a pedestal that not only provided vertical adjustment but also could be tilted forward so I can use it more as a leaning post. With only the vertical adjustment I find my cheeks get tired more quickly. I have not seen the multiple adjustable pedestals available at Fleet but that doesn't mean they don't have them.
