Aflac Insurance

Is Aflac insurance worth having? My wife and myself has had them for several years, and have needed to place a claim on them 2 times, and they declined both claims. One of them just recently. So I am wondering if it is even worth paying for it every month? Or if they just find a reason not to pay out when its needed? The plan sounded like a great idea with 3 kids, and myself not being the most careful person, but it just seems to me, that when their is a claim, they find a reason not to pay it. Or am I just being the non normal person, and being unlucky and just not fitting the criteria for the claims?

When I talked to the rep, I asked them about it, they told me I couldnt cancel until my renewal date on December 1, that I was under contract, so I just needed to continue to pay them until then. That just didnt sound right to me.

The job that my wife works at offers Aflac. A few of her fellow workers have tried to collect and got the same results that you did. Glad my wife turned their offer down!

I have used them twice for short term disability claims and have nothing but good to say. I filed the proper paperwork and bam, the check shows up in a couple days. Very helpful on the phone also.
