Rain? Wind?

do the turkeys act much different when the elements come arround? i have heard it is alwayse better to hunt in the woods with wind is this true?

I agree. From my past experience, wind=woods and rain=open terrain. Rain is also prime time for picking insects coming out of the grass. Especially during mating season when the insects provide protein and the birds are the most active.

Showers and light rain we often find them in fields feeding. Good time to get out and try to stalk them since they can't hear you walking. Wind is tough, usually harder hunting since you can't hear them from as far away if you are trying to locate them with calling.
