Unique Turkey - All White Head

Just wondering if anyone else has ever seen a turkey that has an all white head like this one? I saw the bird the night before and it wasnt strutting. I noticed a distinct white band around his neck. In full strut his whole head was white. The youth I was mentoring on this hunt shot the bird on the right. 11.25 inch beard 1 and 3/8 inch spurs but only 18.5 pounds. I may have to go back and try to bag the white head one as it is unique in my opinion and it also looks a bit bigger.

You see them alot like this. All depends on how where they put the blood flow in their head. Next day maybe all red? Just my opinion.

I have seen them a lot when they are mostly white but never "all" white. And like I said I saw it the night before and it had a white ring around its neck even when it wasn't strutting. I will have to go out for another look I guess. LOL

were you with the same mentor group as me? Valley Yelpers?

I have seen similar birds to this one in your photo. I've seen them go from a bright white or blue to fire engine red. It's almost as if they're part chameleon and their head color changes with their mood. Red meaning something is up that they don't like and are about to bail.

Union Hill? You're not far from me. What season you hunting?

The may 15th season we will be about 3 miles south of union hill(By Roman Hoffauer's place) if you know where that is. then its hit the river for some kittys and maybe eyes
