Viking Speedway Fall Classic in the Spring

Is anybody headed out to catch this show this weekend. For those of you who do not know last years fall classic was rescheduled due to weather to this spring.

My buddy grew up in Osakis and went to that track every weekend. He took me along once and its a great time. I would bet a lot of money if he has the weekend off he will be up there!

Ive never been but am thinking it sounds fun and might go this sat. what time do the gates open and whens the race start? Any heads up on things to do or bring for a rookie?

The races start at 3 on Saturday, but the gates open at 12 so I would be there then if you want to get a good seat, if you also want bring somthing to tie it down with then you can come back closer to race time so you dont have to sit there for 3 hours watching them work the track. They are expecting around 250+ cars for this show so getting there early is a must. I would bring a good blanket or somthing to sit on. I will be there on saturday for sure and possibly friday. We also usually try and sneek some soda and snacks in so we dont have to buy them there.

I'll be there Fri and Saturday sounds like a great field of cars and drivers comeing!

Yes there are alot of the top names in the region that show up for this event when they have it in the fall, it will be interesting to see how many stay at there home tracks since quite a few places have started their regular programs.
