Elm creek archery range

Anyone know if its open yet, or when it opens? With the nice weather i would think its only a matter of time till its open

its east of cabelas about 10 minutes or so, the way i go from buffalo i take south diamond lake road east then down planview lane, but if your in montorse i might try the carver park reserve range probably a lot closer. Go the the three rivers park HSOforum and look up archery has the range info there.

It's open. I don't think it actually ever closes. I was there a week or so back and hte bales were in rough shape. They are usually replaced every year right around this time.

A little wet along the river and a few targets on the east side of the course, but not too bad.

Do the targets get ripped up cause people use broadheads? If so that is a shame. Great range, been out there 3-4 times already this year.

Nah...I think it's just from general use. A lot of folks shoot at this range, especially a week before the season opens up.

yea there are tons of people who shoot there any given night during the summer you will have probably a dozen people easy

There's also the new range in Silver Creek that opened up last fall I believe. Still trying to the find some info on that but a shorter drive for us Buffaloans.

was just there today, pretty dry through the range. Some targets missing so hopefully they get those replaced soon.

They got the targets replaced. Apparently somebody ripped off two of the brand new 'The Block' target butts they had installed. There weren't even two days old. Some peoples kids......

doesnt suprise me thats why they need to keep those cheaper ones out there dumb people do dumb things

I hear you. I wondered why they didn't just use hay bales like usual and call it a day.

Talked to the guy today and he said they got 20 new ones, all of the front ones will be replaced by the deck and then 5 of the worst range targets would be replaced. So far the only ones new are the 20 and he was working on the 50 yard target as I got there.

i got my pass in the mail the other day i just gotta get my stuff together and get out and shoot, im turkey hunting in less then a month
