Jim Uran
My front wheels are squeeling, both of them bastages. I notice it even more when I back up and turn at the same time. Are my bearings in need of some loving? I've got 700 miles on my machine, it's an 07 Honda rancher 420efi. I took both tires off and checked the pads, they were still great. The rotors weren't worn or grooved anywhere. But I still here the noise. Give me an idea on what it could be.
Dave S
My first guess would be the brakes. There might be small grains of sand or other debris on the pads that will cause them to be noisy. Other times it's the pad material itself. The rear brake on my Rincon had a squeel from day one.Depending on how much life you have left in the pads, you might want to try a different pad material on your next set. Keep in mind this might also affect your braking performance by switching to a different pad.

Dave
I'd remove the calipers and really look at the pads closer. What is great to some is worn to others. With the calipers off, rotate the rotors and see if it makes the noise still.
Jim Uran
Sounds good, I'll remove the calipers and give that a whirl.
stumper
They sell a brake cleaner that will help get the dust off. Dirt/brake dust is the culprit and some machines are worse than others.
