upnorth
OK a bit of a strange request here. My son is stationed over in Afghanistan(air guards) and they share the base with an Army unit. Well to get to the point. This all started when my wife asked on one his phone home calls if he needed anything. He said they need hockey sticks. The story behind this is. They started playing floor hockey as a way to pass the time on their days off. The problem is they started out with some used junk and it is wearing out and breaking, so they're are running out of usable equipment. They need hockey sticks especially and he also said they use the plastic balls instead of plastic pucks as the places they can get access to is not very smooth. Anything usable would help out. They manage to get a tournament going with at least three teams once a week on their day off. Good for the moral of these guys over there. Here is a link to the story on the Duluth Air Guard's site. Interesting read anyway.
