Frozen birds

Does anyone have some fun drills for a 9 month old pointing lab that utilize frozen birds? I've got one frozen pheasant and 1 frozen grouse. Mainly I've had her retrieve the birds after rolling or throwing them out on the lawn. She loves to retrieve the frozen birds much more so than the bumper. Sometimes I'll roll out the frozen birds and make her "stay" while I pick it up.

you could do some tracking and some drags with the dead birds

tie it to a rope and drag it on the ground and dont let the dog see the drag. start short, maybe 10ft or so then gradually work up to some longer drags. live birds would be even better to work with

tracking is one of those things you dont want to over train though. maybe 2 or 3 drags a session so they dont get bored with it.
