Wow, been here 10 yrs and never been in here...some cool pics guys!

We were up flaging pike in Mb for a long weekend and had a great time, I returned yesterday early and my buds went back out to where we were the day before. they arived to find these eagles haveing an argument over a smelt we left on the ice. The guys were able to get within 5' of them, got this 1 shot and they both flew off. They said that one of the tallons were in the others eye. I spose the mating season may have something to do with it as well, still, they likely saved the ones life..?

More, Got a call last night with some more details.

here's where they break and take off, then about 15' off the ice the larger one caught up to the smaller one and nocked it out of the air, hit the ice and managed to get up and go again with the big one heading after it. So, maybe it didnt survive...
