Bowfin
My only chance to go this year will have to be a surplus license purchase this Monday for a later season hunt. I will be staying in North Branch and pretty much restricted to the WMA's in the area.I have yet to decide on zone 225 or 227. I suppose the WMA's are hunted pretty hard in that "neck of the woods". Would I have any realistic chance of killing a bird hunting a late season on public land in those zones?Any suggestions on what zone would have the better turkey WMA's?Any input appreciated. Borch
Check some of the smaller WMA or other public land in the area. You'd be surprise how many of these smaller chunks hold turkeys and get passed over by hunters. We've killed many birds in such places.
