I agree with Quetico, to a point. I have no experience with Coleman tents so I don't feel I should comment on them. However, you buy a forty dollar tent and more than likely it won't last through the season. $150-$200 dollars now for a tent that lasts ten years or a forty dollar tent every year. Also, generally less frustration when camping with a better quality tent. Just my two cents.

I can't speak to Coleman but I did try a Walmart Ozark tent once as I forgot my tent at home and halfway up north wasn't turning around. It made it till 1 hour into rainfall and was wet inside. Check CList there is always tents on there for sale but can't speak to the condition or how well they were treated by previous owner. Otherwise save and buy a good tent it's worth it. Both of mine are going 4 years and 3 years without ever having an issue yet and I hope to get at least another 5 out of each if not 10 and I use them around 15-20 weekend a year from May to October.
