Finally got up to Gunflint lake for a day. 27" 9lb laker. Pretty good for me!! Reunited with an old buddy I hadn't seen in 6 years, which was the highlight of the trip. He caught a 3 and a 5lber. Missed two on the day. First laker caught in a couple years for me. We got out there at about 7:30am and had 3 fish on the ice by 9am. I wish we would have got there at first light now. Missed the other 2 around 10-10:30am and that was all she wrote for the day. It was a great time and the weather was just phenomenal.
