Do you think it could be Hovney versus Hooney? If so there was one guy I read about in a Donald Peterson book that had a short lived but interesting decoy carving career. I've seen two, one my dad has and another guy had one at Ham Lake 3 years ago and his name was Hooney and he got it from his uncle. So this truley is a needle in a haystack.
