Try lithium batteries in it once. I have never upgraded mine but I do know you need to have the usb cord to do it. Also heard that Lowrance & lakemaster is no longer making the handhelds & upgrades because everyone can download the maps on the internet through navionics, but don't quote me on that.

go to lowrance.com, product software, find your device and follow directions. you will need an SD card slot on your computer or a SD card reader. make sure your card is a 2 GB or smaller since that is the biggest card the units can read. you will probably see a error box pop up but just click run and you will be fine.

i just did this to my H20 about 5 min ago and it worked just fine

upgraded from 1.4.0. to 1.5.0

Gander had a few 12 V I Finder cords in the clearance bins at many stores.

Try calling into the Hunting Dept at a local Gander as they deal with the handheld units, and ask them to do a product search for you and locate one...they are around yet to be found...I seen them in the bins.

Tip; If you find the UPC and Vendor code off the net before hand it will help them track it quicker, and they will be more willing to go search for it. wink
