Permit area 243?

My dad and I are hoping to get surplus tags so we can turkey hunt north of Nimrod, MN (Wadena County) in May.

We have one connection w/ some land there to hunt, but it's only 40 acres. Looking to find another spot or two just in case the 1st spot doesn't pan out. Just curious as to how heavily this area is hunted for turkeys and land accessibility private/public?

So likely have other turkey hunters, I was a bit surprised they opened that area already as to my knowledge they haven't been there in too dense of numbers, but good luck and I'd scout, quite a few farmers might be open to turkey hunting and getting a farm now could continue on for years before they get locked up tight because everyone knows someone. Not sure on Turkey zones but I could've given you a steer SW of wadena.
