wplatehunter
My rod locker in the boat holds 10 and its always full. My bag for ice fishing holds 4. Its easier to grab a new rod then keep changing lures.
pulleye16
I have one for slip bobbers, one for lindy rig, one for trolling, and one bait caster...4 covers everything i do!
thedeadsea
I believe I could get by with a 7' medium power fast action rod. You can jig, rig, jerkbait, bobber, dropshot, and troll with that rod. It may not be the best, but it will get the job done. Agree. When walleye fishing I normally carry a 7' medium with 14/6 Fireline Crystal (trolling or pike/bass casting if I find a spot that looks "fishy"), a 6'6" medium with 8 lb mono for crankbaits, a 6'6" medium light with 6 lb for Lindy Rigs, and a 5'6" light with 4 lb for vertical jigging/slow trolling with a jig. Sometimes I will have another light or medium action rigged with a different size or color of jig.All of my current walleye rods are the mid priced models by Gander or Cabelas. They get priced very nicely during the off season.
Hula_Grub
Would you go golfing with just one club? I use this analogy all the time! You don't hit tee shots with a putter, and you don't cast slip bobbers with a 7'6" MH XF pitching rod. More rods=more options and more accurate presentations.I have 5 that I'm quite pleased with. 2 spinners and 3 baitcasters, all cover a number of lures and baits, all are different lengths and strengths. DREZLER
Not to sound like a skeptic here but is it possible that you have your own fishing show without:a. owning more than 1 fishing pole.b. knowing what you might use diffrent size fishing poles for. I mean, is it possible that this is just a fishing show that you just record with your own video recorder?
