Cooter
Could someone explain the blade setup on these or better yet take a pic and post it? The local shops don't carry them and I have everything to make a homemade version. Thanks.
50inchpig
cooter i think the main difference in a shrink wrap at the top of the arm extending halfway down the ball bearing - i'll take a look when i get home and try to get a pic - i'm a rad dog guy but won one at a show last year, like the size but it doesn't come through the foil very well so it doesn't get used much. Cooter
Is it just the two blades attached to one swivel?
AWH
Here's a picture, Cooter. Off the arm of the spinnerbait is a high quality ball bearing swivel, which has a split ring attaching to the blades. When I first saw this, I was really surprised. I was wondering how well the blades would work like that. But they actually work better than the more typical design of attaching them with a clevis. Kevin started out that way, but found this set up to be better. Aaron
Cooter
Thanks much sir! Is the shrink for weeds or to keep the blades in position for start up or....?
AWH
Cooter, I will get the exact answer from Kevin and get back to you. I remember (most of) what he told me when he changed the design a couple years ago. I just want to get the complete answer right from the source for you.Aaron
AWH
Cooter, here's the response direct from Kevin. "They won't work if this is not done. The blades turn inside out. Also it helps the ball bearing stay clear of weeds."Aaron
