Yamaha T-8 kicker

I have a alumacraft 185 navigater with a yamaha f150 and t-8 kicker. I have a hard time getting the t-8 to troll at a exact speed. I like to go around 1 mph and when I just put it in gear its too slow so I keep bumping the throttle then it jumps to over 2 mph. I have herd that there is a unit that is called a Pro Troll that hookes to the kicker that you can fine tune to any speed. Does anybody have this on there boat and do they work!! It drives me nutts when I cant get the speed I want its either too fast or too slow!!

The pro troll works as advertised, very fine adjustment of the throttle. If you would go to a particular Bargian Cave in Rodgers, you would probably find one marked down in price.

The Pro Troll is great. I use one on my 22' sylvan offshore with a honda 8 h.p. and I can control the speed right to the 10th of a mph on the gps.

There are quite a few people that run a pro troll/troll master unit on the kicker and have been very happy with it's performance. It's tough to get accurate trolling speeds without it.

i can get it to work ok but i'm pretty sure i'll be trading it

I have heard nothing but good things about the pro troll control box. I talked to a buddy of mine and he told me his brother-inlaw has 1 on his T-8 and it is the cats meow!! It will be my next purchase for my boat.
