Jiffy Legend Problem

al15abc

Question

My brother gave me his auger, and it has not been used for 3 years. I got the engine up and running today, but can not seem to get the drill to turn. The drill is already attached to the engine, I am just not sure if it is attached properly. I was just wondering what am I doing wrong. I don't believe that it is the throttle but rather how it is attached, or some other simple thing like that. Any help would be great, seeing as how I am getting pretty sick of drilling by hand.

Is the bolt connecting the power head to the auger in? If not the output shaft will spin in the receiver coupler.

If it is operating at full throttle, the lower auger should spin once the clutch is engaged.

If you can turn the auger by hand then with some resistance and hear the gears trying to also turn in the gearbox, the auger should be than engaged with the transmission/gearbox.

See if the pin in in, start simple.
