Lowrance H2Oc Power Cord

I have an H2Oc that I haven't needed to use in awhile.

When I plugged in the power cord, it seems like it has a short in it. I remember reading something about problems with them way back when. Did Lowrance ever fix this problem with their new cords for that unit? Is a new one even available anymore?

I'm loaning it to a buddy and I hate to make him buy a bunch of batteries.

Yes, my old power cord had issues in the molded connector. New cord works great.

My cord didn't last long either. If they changed the design I might buy another but not till they fix the problem.

For now I'm using rechargeable batteries.

The Lowrance rep sent me a new one after I spoke to him about it at last year's Sportsman's show. The rubber compound wasn't correct (not flexible enough) and the cable was pulling out of the strain relief portion of the molded plug. Cord looks the same but no trouble with the new one.

Well that's good to know. Might have to buy another one after scorching through batteries the past 3 years.

I'll try to find a new one. I thought there was something wrong with the contacts for a long time. After playing around with it, I can make it fail right at the strain relief portion of the plug. I should have returned it to Lowrance years ago, but I'm surely too late now.
