Ugly Stik Lady Ice Ice Rod

So I HAD to pick up a Lady Ice pole for the mrs so she would agree to go with me this saturday. She was insistent that I get her the "pretty, pink" fising pole. To me though it seems kinda cheap. The rod is a bit stiff for my liking, and I know shes only going to use it once. So i'll be stuck with it as a backup pole. Probably rig it as a bobber rod for eyes n pike. Anyone used, or know someone who used one, and any insights? Thanks!

Thanks Magic minnow, Did not mean to take over your thread, But to answer your question I have 4 ugly stick ice rods They are all I use. I think they are great, I use them with a bobber and for jigging. When useing I can feel light bites they have a good hook set. good rod for the price. and hard to break them. so the hardest part to get over is the color. The fish don't care if its pink.

Funny you should bring this subject up. I have been given one as a gift the other day and I actualy guide for a living. I took it out just to give it a run against my other rods, (on Lake Winnipeg for monster walleyes). Guess what caught a 24 and a 26 with it and it came with 6 pound test. Besides it being girly pink it worked great. I am heading back out in the morning and still going to use it again and see how it will stand up. At this point it is great.
