Strikemaster/Techumse spark plug?

I have a two rear old Strikemaster and the sales associate at FF said this spark plug which is a Autolite Xtreme Start Iridium which replaces the Champion spark plug CJ8Y would work. The recommended plug should be a Champion CJ6Y according to the manual. Does anybody have any knowledge of this spark plug and will it work correctly? I still have it in the original package. I cannot find the correct CJ6Y anywhere.

I couldn't either. While I was at the Save Big Money M store looking, I found a new type of plug called, E spark plug. Suppose to be some high firing plug. I bought a E.12 (equivalent to a CJ6Y on the package) and my auger has never started better.

You can cross a CJ6Y to a NGK BPM7A spark plug, a much better plug. About $3 each.

Another good option is a Bosch Super Start Spark Plug WSR6F Also about $3.
