Gunna be a first for me and a few buddies. What to expect? What is the depth of the holes? Hoping for warm temps!

lots of people if the weather is nice... the depth varies across the fishing area and really also on where exactly they put the fishing area... if I remember correctly from years past anywhere from 15-30 ft deep?? someone correct me if I am remembering wrong

Some years it's been as shallow as 8 feet. Lots of the perch and panfish will come from the shallows. There's also a 15-18' break in that area that northerns and eyes will travel. Try near an edge if you can.

I did it one year. It was fun in a social kind of way and ended up winning a new Strikemaster with a big perch.

I have fished the tourney every year since it started. They move it back and forth each year. It usually has depths from 6' to 40'. Just about every year it's been colder than hell and windy. Took 9th place a few years ago and got a set of atv ramps, maybe I'll get the atv to go with it this year. Bring a chisel as we drill the holes on friday afternoon.

I am also planning on fishing this tourny, my first time. I am pretty excited for the "social" part of the fishing!! but would not care if i won a new truck Good luck everybody!!
