Fly Fishing

I started fly fishing about 12 years ago in Alaska and had a GREAT time! Since then I have moved to Minnesota, and have not had very good luck at all fly fishing. Have any of you had good luck in Minnesota?

I have been fly fishing for 3 years now and have had a great time in south east MN and western WI. I'm sure that the size of fish does not compare to Alaska but there are a lot of nice trout to be caught. I picked up a book at Bentley's Outfitter called somthing like "Trout Streams of Western Wisconsin and South east Minnesota". It has a lot of good information on spots to hit and what to expect.

Early season in Wisconsin is only a few weaks away!!! I can't wait.

Put April 27th down on your calendar and come on down to My Second Annual Trout Day in Beautiful Forestville State PArk. Seminars/presentations, free door prizes, fishing and a chance to meet other fisherman from around the state.

Might even show you the way to some of my favorite spots!!
