Travel Conditions Sabaskong Bay and WFB

Heading up on Friday for one day of Walleye fishing in Sabaskong Bay and two days of fishing Lakers in WFB. Last year there was a lot of slush to worry about getting stuck in. How are the travel conditions this year?

Fished out of Morson to Miles Bay returning on Sat AM. No bad slush at that time but talked to guys Sun AM in Baudette who had just come back and they said slush was "getting pretty bad". All things being relative, I think 8" of slush is "pretty bad" but not sure what qualifies as "pretty bad" for those guys?

Good thing is, it is supposed to be below zero here the rest of week so hope it will heal up. Bad thing is we had 6-8" of snow before cold so not sure how it will be by Fri.

So, guess I haven't really told you a d_mned thing except expect the worst and be pleasantly suprised if not!

So, did you go up in to Miles for Crappies? If so, how was the bite?

Fished WFB on Saturday and had plenty of slush, but "Not too bad".

A couple places I really had to get on it, but was out of it before I slowed. Quite cold last night and all this week, I would imagine it would tighten up.

Went to my cabins near turtle channel / WFB.

Never hit any slush that way. Seemed pretty solid.

went to WFB on saturday and no slush to be found.

Went to cabin last weekend and did lots of snowmobiling. Not one lick of slush. WFB, Boot Bay, Obabikon, over to Burrow Bay and back...awesome riding conditions. Did not fish.
